A new year; new things! Getting rid of personal demons!

Standard

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

– HENRY STANLEY HASKINS

Interpretation: Your character is far more important than your past or your future; it’s who you are that matters, not what you’ve done or will do.

“Challenge yourself with something you know you could never do, and what you’ll find is that you can overcome anything.”

– ANONYMOUS

Interpretation: By attempting something really difficult and outside of your comfort zone, you will discover how strong you really are.

“It is never too late to be what you might have been.”

– GEORGE ELIOT

Interpretation: You are never too old to pursue your dreams.

At the beginning of this year, I wanted to do something different with my life. To dream more, forgive those who have hurt me in the past, love more, be happy, eat healthy, clear out the clutter from my life, work harder, meet new interesting people! In the past, I’ve been bogged down by negative people, strained relationships, unforgiveness, self-pity and so many other personal demons. In the words of my sister Miriam, “I had too much clutter in my life!”. So this year is a fresh opportunity for me to start on a new page; to try again, to learn to live again. For a long time, I’ve toyed with the idea of starting my own blog; but I had so many doubts about myself. Would I be able to sustain it? Was I good enough to write all those pieces? Would anybody read it anyway? Well, I realized that this is not for anybody else. It’s about me. About the things that matter to me. My experiences, my life as told by me! The world through my eyes! Here’s to a new journey!
